Take a moment to imagine with me. You are a Civil War soldier. You’ve been marching for days, having left one battlefield and on your way to the next. You’re cold, tired, and emotionally beat. When you finally stop and setup camp, you sit and talk with your brothers in arms, little about …

About Wolf & Iron

Some years ago I overheard a friend mention the words "Wolf and Iron" in passing. At the time I didn't know that he was referring to a book or that I had even heard him correctly. However, the raw manliness of that phrase struck a chord in me. I thought, "Those words should be used to encourage men to be men." I was excited to discover the book of the same title by Gordon R. Dickson shared many of the values I desired to learn and teach to other men. It tells a story of a young man, uncertain of himself, softened by our modern world, who becomes a true man through the trials of a post apocalyptic society, the shepherding by stronger, wiser men, and the confidence that comes through tested self-reliance.

There is a growing resurgence of masculinity in America and abroad. Men are feeling the High Call on our lives but find very few authentic examples in the modern generations of men to which we can look to for guidance.

Wolf and Iron is to be a voice and a light to the way of Manliness.
