At some point in in life, the man who is desirous to heed the High Call on his life will find himself deep into the quest for knowledge. He will read books -- which, if you had met him 5 years earlier he wouldn't have cared anything about -- he will listen to podcasts and watch videos, and long for the chance to debate and discuss religion and ethics and history.
This is not something new. For generations, learned men who wished to grow themselves sought such a circle of other men to be acquainted with. They formed clubs and restricted membership only to those who were of like mind and character.
