Our Story - On Mission Since 2013
Hey, this is Mike Yarbrough!
When Wolf & Iron first kicked off as a blog, back in 2013, there wasn't much content out there to help modern men become legacy men.
The blog was a simple way for me to capture some of my own journey and share lessons I had learned (and was still learning) along the way. All in a hope to help men the same way I had been helped -- one guy taking the time to share a bit of advice with another. Doing so from a Christian perspective while not being associated with a particular church or denomination made Wolf & Iron a bit unique among the offerings of the day.
The blog became a podcast and eventually products were added to the website as a means of connecting with other men in a tangible way.
All of this was done as a side project born out of a passion to remain in the fight of our age.
Men Need Brotherhood -- The First Guilds
In 2021 we kicked off something called Guilds. This was our solution to having a band of brothers. Something had changed since 2013. We were now overloaded by content but missing out on the real-world relationships men need in order to grow in the right direction.
Although we only had 3 Guilds in total, they were really successful. The men that were part of them still kept their friendships years later and talked about how pivotal these new brothers had been in their lives.
The Wolf & Iron Foundation -- Our Nonprofit Shift
Wolf & Iron has been a one-man side project but with a vision that requires a team.
In December of 2024 we were approved to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit: Wolf & Iron Foundation
This allows us to be mission focused rather than product or content focused. It also allows us to pour back into community of men at the pace of your generosity.
Wolf & Iron Foundation is now a team, working together to achieve the monumental goal of renewing the culture of men through the renewal of our spirits as men.
