I had lunch with a friend today who was the inspiration for this topic. Years ago he bought a Go-Kart (Go Cart?) frame with intentions of building it piece by piece. He used to catch a lot of flack because it never got off the ground. Recently he picked up the project and has made some great progress, learning along the way and overcoming the challenges that make these kinds of hobbies a memorable experience.
Many of us have hobbies we wish we had time and money for and usually lay them down for a period of life. Or, maybe you have one you could never give up. It’s a great topic of conversation.
Here is some fuel for thought:
- What is it about a particular hobby that draws you in?
- What is preventing you from doing it?
- How does you current hobby (or past hobbies) benefit you as a man?
