Before we can answer the question of "Should a man curse" we need to exam whether or not language itself is something that men should elevate to a higher standard, or is it simply a tool that culture shapes and uses to communicate loose thoughts.
Language Matters
Have you ever experienced the frustration of not being able to name a song title or an actor? How about not being able to find the right words to say what you feel? It's maddening, right?
Our thoughts and feelings are not only unorganized, they are ours and ours alone. Yet, we have a strong desire to share our feelings with others and to be known and understood.
Language is organized, and it's learned at such an early age that it becomes intuitive. In other words, we don't have to think about how to connect our thoughts to words, it just happens.
Language gives our thoughts and feelings a connection to the outside world. They move from an unorganized swirl of brain chemistry to an actual substance, hanging in the air. Our ability to utilize language to express ourselves has much to do with our feeling of "being heard and understood" which has a direct correlation to confidence.
